The destiny brought us to a very cruel and tragic turn with my sister and her entire family. It wasn’t a moment we were prepared to face by any stretch of the imagination, be the enormity of losing the family of your, the timing of it, their very young ages to depart from this world, and most importantly the manner in which the entire situation unfolded. As mind-numbing as the event itself was, I was at a complete loss as to how to face it and still move forward. And everybody was waiting on me. TEAM Aid was nothing different than my own family. Their volunteers personally involved from day one and helped me with utmost devotion and always balancing the sensitivity of the situation with the practicality of the funeral and beyond procedures.
I have a whole new appreciation of the community support here in the US, and TEAM Aid is certainly a huge catalyst to lend a helping hand in the most awkward and difficult times. A HUGE Thank you Mohan ji and please count me in!

As we work through the grief of losing our loved one in the US due to sudden cardiac arrest … We have no words to express our deep sense of gratitude during our darkest days of our lives. Thank you so much for taking the distress call from miles far away. They say empathy has no script- you were there to listen, hold space, connect heart to heart, and through your selfless service and support you communicated that incredibly healing message that we are not alone. Thank you, Thank you for all that we received and God bless you and TEAM Aid for leading with your whole hearts.

I was the local guardian for the son of my colleague, Abhishek, who was undergoing pilot training in Florida. On the 24th of January 2021, he met with an unfortunate accident in which his plane crashed into the sea. His body was found the next day still strapped into his seat in the crash site underwater. The parent’s desire was to fly Abshishek’s body back to India so that they are able to say their final goodbyes and to cremate him in his ancestral village in Hariyana. I was introduced to TEAM Aid by one of the members of the Atlanta Consulate. From the first introduction to the successful repatriation of Abhishek’s body back to India, TEAM Aid coordinators are extremely helpful and responsive throughout the entire process. It is hard to elucidate in simple words the kind of support they provided during one of the most stressful times for the family. The professionalism and empathy displayed by the entire team throughout the process were unparalleled by any other organization that I have experienced in my entire life.
I, on the behalf of the family of the deceased pilot, want to convey my heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the entire TEAM Aid organization for providing such a valuable service.
Most Sincerely,

TEAM Aid helped with everything, getting the clearance from airport authorities and coordinating with the Indian embassy.
It took only a few days for the process and our beloved friend has been sent to India to his family for the funeral ceremony.

As an immigrant, we had no clue on what needs to be done when there is sudden death in the family. But, TEAM Aid’s volunteers helped with all the steps. Amazing job and nice of them to volunteer all these things.
