Tragic Loss of an International Student. We mourn the heartbreaking loss of Anshul, a 28-year-old international student who lost his life while working a part-time shift as a pizza delivery driver — a young man simply trying to build a future. He was fatally shot after completing a delivery at the Raymond Rosen Homes. Police confirmed the delivery had been made; he was attacked moments later and suffered a fatal gunshot wound. He was rushed to Temple University Hospital, where he passed away. No arrests have been made. Surveillance footage shows two individuals in dark clothing following him near the scene. TEAM Aid, in partnership with the Consulate General of India, New York, is coordinating the repatriation of Anshul’s remains to his family in Hyderabad, India. Our thoughts are with Anshul’s family, friends, and all who knew him.

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of a 22-year-old recent graduate who lost his life at South Toledo Bend State Park, Louisiana, while on a trip with friends. When his friends got into difficulty in the water, he did not hesitate — he swam to each of them and brought them safely to shore. In an act of extraordinary selflessness, he gave everything to protect those he cared about. Tragically, during the rescue, his leg became entangled in a submerged fishing net, and he was unable to free himself. Despite the efforts of rescue teams, his body was recovered from the riverbed approximately 20 feet below the surface. His friends survived because of him.
