“My father, Mr. BRB, immigrated to the United States from Poland, via Germany in approximately March of 1956 at the age of 11. He and his parents, were granted passage as indentured servants in order to pay for their trip to the States. Once here, my father was never enrolled in school and his education basically stopped with the equivalency of a 4th grade level. That lack of education however did not stop him from not only serving in the US Army – a deployment to Vietnam during the war with an eventual honorable discharge – but also later in life joining the construction crews that would come to build the original Twin Towers in NYC. For the majority of my life, I knew my father as a manual laborer, mostly landscaping with some side jobs plowing snow or as a handyman. He was a man with an incredible work ethic and dedication to his job, regardless of what it was. By example, both he and my grandfather taught me that no job was too small or meaningless to dedicate yourself to with intensity and a determination to complete the task fully and to the best of their ability. I often refer to these attributes within myself as being American born but Polish made. To borrow a quote from the play Hamilton, “Immigrants! They get the job done.” I only hope to honor his memory in some way by instilling in my son, while he’s only 1 he’s carrying on the lineage of my family name, those very same virtues and work ethic that were demonstrated to me.
Due to the kindness and generosity of your organization, Team Aid.org, I have been able to breath comfortably and rest easily knowing that my father’s wishes to be cremated are being carried out and he can be at peace.
Thank you again for all you and your organization have done for me. I hope to one day be in a position to pay that same generosity forward or somehow partner with you and your organization to carry on the amazing charitable work you are doing.
All my warmest regards to you and everyone at Team Aid.org, without our relationship I honestly don’t know how I would have handled not only the services but the passing of my father in general.”

“Mohan and Sibu from TEAM Aid reached out to us as soon as they heard about this incidence from one of our friends. We received great guidance and help from Team Aid for the final journey for Rohan back to his parents in, Pune, India. TEAM Aid coordinators were constantly in touch with me and the funeral home and monitored the progress. Because of Team Aid, we were able to complete the processing in less than 3 days.”

“A big thank you to TEAM Aid’s team members and specifically to Mr. Ramakrishna Penumarthy and Mr. Mohan Nannapaneni for their timely assistance to help me fly to Bangalore, India for a family medical emergency situation in the midst of Covid 19. I did not know these two gentlemen before but what they did to assist me during a difficult time, with just a request from me on WhatsApp for their assistance, has reassured me that humanity and compassion still exist in the world. It was a desperate time for my family and on short notice, they were able to guide me in the right direction and helped me fly out of Boston to Bangalore, asap. Thank you very much!!!”

Non-extension of the lease, no options for temporary accommodation, and funds crunch because of limited student finances coupled with the inability to fly back to India led us to a quagmire. Team aid helped me find a suitable accommodation and made it extremely affordable helping me tide over the situation. Thank you TEAM Aid.

This was really a tough time for my family, I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of my family and would like to thank each and every one of you to come together quickly and helping out at every step of this long process and putting together a nice farewell to my mother.
Can’t thank enough everyone. Many thanks to Srinivas and Mr. Bathchu for putting together all the resources and initiating this tough process.Big thanks to Mr. JP Samuel, and Mr. Mohan for kindly navigating from the beginning and helping in following up at coroner’s office. We would have been going through the unimaginable pain of waiting for another week if he has not reached out to us and requested the Sargent and investigating officer to expedite the release process. Appreciate all the help and service Frank and his staff provided coordinating at coroner’s office and connecting with the priest Mr. Jagdesh, who performed the last ritual this noon so well.
Once again, Thank you and God bless you all. Stay safe!
