My aunt passed away and we are trying to find connect different people to organize the funeral, however, team aid is so helpful that they provided all the processes and contacts and they themselves took the initiative to coordinate with the funeral home and the Hindu priest, and helped us to complete last rituals. Thank you so much Teamaid, without your help it would be so different for us to manage the things. — Siva Notti

From day one they made us feel like someone from our own family is taking care of the things . I appreciate their commitment and promptness. I am thankful to them for bringing the remains back home. — Rajat Kaushik

“My friend Timmy H. died on August 10th, 2020 from cardiac arrest after a period of declining health. He had served in the US Army, was a Vietnam War veteran and was honorably discharged. He never married, had no immediate family and no financial resources. Timmy did belong to a society of people whose mission, like TEAM Aid, is to be of service to others from which he had a circle of good friends. During his life, Timmy had helped a lot of people. Upon his passing, TEAM Aid (with assistance from Timmy’s social worker) stepped in to provide for Timmy’s funeral expenses and arrangements. It seemed fitting that Timmy, a guy who was of service to many in life, was treated so well by TEAM Aid in death. Because of TEAM Aid, Timmy was given a proper burial with military honors in the NJ veterans’ cemetery. On behalf of my friends and myself, I want to say “thank you” to TEAM Aid for the loving care and service you provided to Timmy and that we greatly appreciate all you’ve done. ” –Bob G.

“During these difficult and desperate times with the passing of my father from a severe disease and alcohol addiction. Saving him was bear impossible now, he entered a shock that unfortunately, he couldn’t wake up from and as the day progressed his condition got worse. On Friday, July 31st we recurred the news that he was now resting. We were in disbelief and shock that he had passed away. We were lacking financial support, luckily for us fellow volunteers came forward and supported us with transporting my father to his home country and helping set up the funeral home, the transport, and much more. These people support my family and I through this whole process and kept us updated with every little news detail. We are very appreciative of everything they did for us during these sad times. Without the support of these people we would’ve been in a more Severe situation, we are thankful from the bottom of our hearts for everything TEAM Aid has done and will continue to do.” — Gisel R. and Rodriguez Family

“My father, Mr. BRB, immigrated to the United States from Poland, via Germany in approximately March of 1956 at the age of 11. He and his parents, were granted passage as indentured servants in order to pay for their trip to the States. Once here, my father was never enrolled in school and his education basically stopped with the equivalency of a 4th grade level. That lack of education however did not stop him from not only serving in the US Army – a deployment to Vietnam during the war with an eventual honorable discharge – but also later in life joining the construction crews that would come to build the original Twin Towers in NYC. For the majority of my life, I knew my father as a manual laborer, mostly landscaping with some side jobs plowing snow or as a handyman. He was a man with an incredible work ethic and dedication to his job, regardless of what it was. By example, both he and my grandfather taught me that no job was too small or meaningless to dedicate yourself to with intensity and a determination to complete the task fully and to the best of their ability. I often refer to these attributes within myself as being American born but Polish made. To borrow a quote from the play Hamilton, “Immigrants! They get the job done.” I only hope to honor his memory in some way by instilling in my son, while he’s only 1 he’s carrying on the lineage of my family name, those very same virtues and work ethic that were demonstrated to me. Due to the kindness and generosity of your organization, Team Aid.org, I have been able to breath comfortably and rest easily knowing that my father’s wishes to be cremated are being carried out and he can be at peace. Thank you again for all you and your organization have done for me. I hope to one day be in a position to pay that same generosity forward or somehow partner with you and your organization to carry on the amazing charitable work you are doing. All my warmest regards to you and everyone at Team Aid.org, without our relationship I honestly don’t know how I would have handled not only the services but the passing of my father in general.” –RB

“A big thank you to TEAM Aid’s team members and specifically to Mr. Ramakrishna Penumarthy and Mr. Mohan Nannapaneni for their timely assistance to help me fly to Bangalore, India for a family medical emergency situation in the midst of Covid 19. I did not know these two gentlemen before but what they did to assist me during a difficult time, with just a request from me on WhatsApp for their assistance, has reassured me that humanity and compassion still exist in the world. It was a desperate time for my family and on short notice, they were able to guide me in the right direction and helped me fly out of Boston to Bangalore, asap. Thank you very much!!!” – Vidya S Krishnan

Non-extension of the lease, no options for temporary accommodation, and funds crunch because of limited student finances coupled with the inability to fly back to India led us to a quagmire. Team aid helped me find a suitable accommodation and made it extremely affordable helping me tide over the situation. Thank you TEAM Aid. — Anurag & Radhika
