“My friend Timmy H. died on August 10th, 2020 from cardiac arrest after a period of declining health. He had served in the US Army, was a Vietnam War veteran and was honorably discharged. He never married, had no immediate family and no financial resources. Timmy did belong to a society of people whose mission, like TEAM Aid, is to be of service to others from which he had a circle of good friends. During his life, Timmy had helped a lot of people. Upon his passing, TEAM Aid (with assistance from Timmy’s social worker) stepped in to provide for Timmy’s funeral expenses and arrangements. It seemed fitting that Timmy, a guy who was of service to many in life, was treated so well by TEAM Aid in death. Because of TEAM Aid, Timmy was given a proper burial with military honors in the NJ veterans’ cemetery.
On behalf of my friends and myself, I want to say “thank you” to TEAM Aid for the loving care and service you provided to Timmy and that we greatly appreciate all you’ve done. ”
