Having lived in Silicon Valley for more than 25 years, we were unprepared when my mother suddenly died. She was very religious, and our wish was to do the final rites at Haridwar in India. My cousin saw the reference for TeamAid in facebook groups. We contacted Mohan and he was helpful from the first call we did with him. He explained the entire steps calmly, send us the forms electronically. He explained different local vendors and government agencies involved in completing this process. I was surprised how someone can be so kind and helpful without any economic motive. Just for my satisfaction, I checked some local funeral homes. Most of them are not capable of doing this entire process to transfer to India. With Mohan help at each step we were able to achieve it to final destination in shortest time. I am truly impressed with the TeamAid dedication especially Mohan and I am hoping my mother is blessing them all from the heaven for the great selfless work they are doing.

When the brilliant Indian classical dancer, Amarnath Ghosh, was murdered on the street in St. Louis, Missouri, soon to complete his MFA degree, TEAMAid provided invaluable support. The case was complicated due to many issues: information about the case was not provided in a timely fashion by the St. Louis Police, the mourners at WashU were struggling as individuals without immediate support from the university. Amarnath had no family members in the U.S. and both of his parents were deceased in India. His closest relation was his partner in India who, luckily, had obtained a US Visa, anticipating a trip to St. Louis to celebrate his partner’s graduation which would have happened in May. To add to the complexity of the case, an uncle in India who, it appeared, had little to do with Amarnath during his lifetime, suddenly claimed authority over the body and assets, property. TEAMAid intervened with grace and care in negotiating between Amarnath’s partner, who the University sponsored in coming to St. Louis, and the uncle, reaching unexpectedly satisfactory results. The entire situation would have dissolved into chaos were it not for Mohan Nannapaneni and the team of volunteers at TEAMAid. Gratitude in abundance is due on the part of all involved.

During the time in which my family was experiencing a death, this team had made the funeral process much easier. Helping us immediately and allowing family members in India to say their finally goodbyes was not possible without this team. We will always be thankful of how efficient the TEAM work and how supportive they were in the time of need.

I was introduced to Ramakrishna Penumanthy, my primary contact at TeamAid, by a mutual friend a few hours after my father-in-law passed away. Rama went above and beyond in assisting us navigate the process of planning for cremation. In his assuring manner, Rama explained to me the steps involved, and coordinated the effort with Anil and Shankar. TeamAid did the groundwork of checking on availability of funeral homes that offered services that matched our family’s preferences. TeamAid arranged for a priest who is familiar with our preferences. Through out this process, Rama was just a phone call away, answering questions and offering suggestions at each step and ensuring a smooth planning process.
We are very grateful to TeamAid for the timely help provided at a difficult time for my family.

It was an exceptional experience working with TeamAid, particularly with Mohan Nannapaneni, who assisted us throughout the entire process of repatriating Rinav’s body to his family in India. Without TeamAid’s support, our community and Rinav’s relatives would have faced significant challenges during this tragic time. Mohan’s availability and reassurance were remarkable—he was always just a call away, even during late hours and despite being unwell. His role in expediting the consulate paperwork, including a correction over the weekend, was nothing short of a miracle. TeamAid’s network and efficiency in coordinating every aspect of this journey were truly invaluable; we were spared from having to manage anything ourselves. Thank you, Mohan and TeamAid, for your unwavering support and assistance. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻…

Mohan from team aid was nothing short of a savoir for our family. In time of the sudden death of my cousin we were all beyond shocked, with no idea what to do next, I got in touch with Mohan. The great care, constant support and work he put was beyond words. Me and my family are indebted to the timely help that team aid provided. To provide such a great service to a stranger in a time of utmost misery is the purest form of compassion I’ve ever witnessed. Thank you, Mohan and thanks TEAM Aid.
