My Sister and my Brother-in-Law were visiting their daughter in SanFrancisco, CA and i live in Dallas, TX. Unfortunately on the early hours of May 7th, My BIL passed away due to a sudden cardiac arrest in the night. I was in the Dallas airport for my work trip when i got this message, and cancelled and redirected to head to SFO. While i was in the flight, i connected on the internet and checked Facebook, my friends etc., and on the advice of friends, i emailed TeamAid.org on their website.
TeamAid (Mohan), called me as soon as i landed. The biggest first step was “walking me through the various steps. their education to me and sequencing, prioritizing steps gave me immense confidence in dealing with my family locally as well as back home in India.
Mohan clearly guided me on the initial few steps, reassured me constantly the next steps, held my hands (virtually) and guided me. Without Mohan and TeamAid’s help, i would have been lost completely.
they took exactly 3 days (Wed/Thur/Friday) and got the ticketing done. I am sure Mohan is a senior professional in his personal life, but every time, i sent a message on whatsapp, he instantly called me day or night and ensured to provide next steps or coordinate accordingly. He spent so much time debating and brainstorming with me, counselling me all through.
There are many time of visible non-profits that volunteer for many many causes. This cause – which people overlook, till they have a need – is such a critical matter in our lifes – particularly during days of sadness, the confusion, the anxiety.
Mohan and TeamAid: You are an amazing God Sent Angels helping the Indian diaspora at the most critical need of the hour. I WILL NEVER FORGET THE AMOUNT OF ATTENTION, COACHING AND HELP you all offered in ensuring my Brother In Law was transported to India.
Lt. Mr. GnanaPrakash and all his 2 brothers, 1 sister, kids, grand kids, family and friends had a perfect closure of his loss and he had an amazing last rite, funeral and a great send off. My last respect to my IDOL – My Mama’s send off was because of TEAMAID’s help and Mohan’s help. thank you for allowing my Brother in Law to Rest-In-Peace.
