I can’t believe it when I heard the news of my friend’s death. He was expired in a drowning accident. All I had in mind was how to console his parents with this terrible news and move his body remains to India (Telangana state). That is when TEAM Aid came to the rescue. They have helped at each stage by clarifying questions to me here in the US and to my friend’s family back in India. Finally, we were able to send him to his parents. Dear Team Aid, We want to express our extreme gratitude for all the help and support you provided for repatriating the body of Abhishek. Your support was prompt, unconditional, comprehensive, and was truly overwhelming for us during this really trying period for us. We’ve conducted the final rites of our Abhishek last week in presence of all his loved ones. It is rare that one comes across selfless people – who put others, who they never have even seen, above themselves. That is what Mr. Mohan and his team were for us in that bizarre week in April 2021, when we lost our colleague. I lost my beloved husband. I was deeply in shock. A heartfelt thank you to the Team Aid organization for their timely and substantial financial contribution towards the cremation of Mrs. Sri’s mother-in-law, who passed away suddenly at home in late April. This is the third death in the immediate family that Mrs. Sri is single-handedly dealing within the last two years, having already lost her husband and father-in-law. By stepping in within 24 hours and cutting a check towards cremation expenses, Team Aid has provided prompt relief to this grieving mother and two children in their time of distress.
