We reached out to Mohan after our friend, Mr. Chakraborty, passed away suddenly on a Friday evening in a hospital near San Francisco and needed to be repatriated to Kolkata. After speaking with a few facilities in the area, Mohan stood out for his clear knowledge of the process, transparent estimate of costs, and realistic timeline. He was available throughout the weekend, patiently answered all our questions, and eased our concerns. Mohan guided us through every step and explained exactly what documents were needed to complete the paperwork. Once we decided to proceed with TeamAid, the body was transferred from the hospital to a local mortuary within a day. His team secured the necessary approvals within two days, and the repatriation was completed via Air India within a week — on the same flights as the surviving spouse. During one of the most difficult times for our family, when my relative Vinod passed away suddenly due to cardiac arrest — far away from any relatives — the compassion and support from TeamAid.org were truly beyond words. Mohan Nannapaneni Garu and his incredible team stepped in immediately, taking complete care of the process with remarkable empathy and efficiency. From coordinating the transfer of the body to the mortuary and coroner, to liaising with the funeral home for all formalities, they managed every detail with utmost dedication. Their coordination to move the body from Mississippi to Louisiana, and then to New York, was seamless. What truly stood out was how they expedited the entire process at the New York Indian Consulate — something that usually takes several days — and got everything completed within a single day. They even ensured that the body could be transported to India safely and securely, working closely with airlines to make timely arrangements. Throughout this journey, Mohan Garu’s continuous communication, updates, and calm assurance brought immense comfort to our grieving family. We are deeply grateful to TeamAid and Mohan Garu for their selfless service, compassion, and tireless efforts.
