A parent visiting from India, suddenly felt uneasiness in his chest and passed away by the time Emergency Medical Response team arrived their home. TEMA Aid is coordinating the funeral arrangements as there are no flights flying to India.

Mr. S.S, A 65-year-old passed away after getting infected with Covid-19 virus, which led to a serious lung disease. Devastated family seeking help for the cremation and other support. TEAM Aid and our partner organization Punjabi Chamber of Commerce are working together in assisting his family.Â

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office’s Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are investigating the deaths of two people, both found just after 7 a.m. Sunday morning, authorities said. A woman was found dead inside an apartment at a high-rise building on Christopher Columbus Drive and a man’s body was pulled from the Hudson River at the foot of Montgomery Street, according to the prosecutor’s office and police radio transmissions.
TEAM Aid is helping the family members of the deceased.

Mrs. N.G, A 68-year-old woman, visiting her children in USA suddenly fell and died. The cause of the death is unknown but presumed underlying health conditions. TEAM Aid is assisting her family members in arranging a funeral service.

An international student from India, came to USA on a cultural exchange program. She had to leave mid-April but got stuck with the cancellation of flights. She had to vacate her apartment as the landlord could not extend the lease. TEAM Aid providing temporary accommodation and food until flights to India start to fly.

Mr. Sri, a middle aged person’s sudden demise put Indian community in Bay area into shock. He went to bed on April 19th Sunday night and passed away in sleep. He was sole earner for the family. His death, as sudden as it is created a vacuum for his entire family with grief and financial hardship. Now, friends and family are trying to raise funds to help his family for his funeral and other expenses for the next few months. He survived with his wife and young kids. TEAM Aid is making arrangements for the funeral service and helping their fundraiser.Â

My Dad has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. My mom passed away 9 years back and my Dad is all by himself in the ICU in Omega Hospital, Hyderabad. Myself and my siblings are US citizens and are unable to go to India. My Dad’s Oncologist is not sure about my Dad’s chances and has indicated to us that my Dad might not have much time. I am reaching out to see if there is any help I could get for me to go to Hyderabad and take care of my Dad for whatever time he has left.

Mr. A.M, a 34-year-old, young software professional was found dead in his apartment. He was living alone and his family is in Kolkata, India. As of now the cause of the death is unknown, but seems to be Covid-19 related. TEAM Aid is working closely with his family, friends, employer and colleagues in making arrangement for funeral services.

Mr. PT, a middle ages Indian national caught up with Covid-19 and died within a few days at the hospital. As most of the funerals homes in entire New York city area are overloaded, the family sought TEAM Aid’s help. We have arranged to transport the mortal remains to a funeral home within a few hours and followed by a traditional funeral. Because of our network of volunteers and funeral homes, we are able to timely assist his family. The Indian consulate in New York and the Ministry of External affairs are very resourceful in coordinating this funeral.
