Upon the family’s request, TEAM Aid coordinated with the Indian Embassy and a local volunteer to arrange the repatriation of his mortal remains to Delhi, India. The TEAM Aid team expedited critical documentation, resolved procedural issues, and ensured the family was not subjected to excessive or unfair funeral home charges—ultimately saving them thousands of dollars and offering compassionate support throughout the process.

As his phone had been stolen and his family could not be reached, he was cremated by U.S. officials with the financial help from the Indian Embassy. TEAM Aid is working closely with the Maryland Medical Examiner’s Office, the Indian Embassy, and the funeral home to complete the documentation process and arrange for the repatriation of his cremated ashes to India. This ensures a dignified final farewell in accordance with Hindu traditions.
