A 29-year-old graduate student from India tragically passed away after battling Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM), a rare and progressive genetic condition. Her sudden loss has brought immense sorrow to her family, friends, and academic community.
During this difficult time, TEAM Aid—together with the Illinois Institute of Technology, the Marathi Mandal, and the Indian Embassy in Chicago—coordinated the dignified transportation of her mortal remains to Pune, Maharashtra, where her parents received her with profound grief and love.

TEAM Aid worked closely with his loved ones to coordinate the transportation of his mortal remains to Nandigama in Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh. We are deeply grateful to the Indian Embassies in Boston and New York for their compassionate support — they covered the repatriation expenses. They expedited the issuance of the No Objection Certificate, ensuring the process moved swiftly during this difficult time.
