The New England Malayalee Association (NEMA) recognized TEAM Aid for its outstanding humanitarian service during NEMA’s Annual Christmas Celebrations, a flagship cultural event attended by nearly one thousand community members.
Founded in 2004, NEMA is a Massachusetts-based nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of the Kerala community across New England. A secular organization, NEMA advances fellowship through charitable initiatives and major cultural programs, including its renowned arts competition Drishya and traditional celebrations such as Onam. Recently named the 2025 Non-Profit Organization of the Year, NEMA continues to play a vital role in strengthening community engagement and cultural integration.
NEMA and TEAM Aid have maintained a strong partnership since 2018, collaborating to address emergency and humanitarian needs in the community. Under the leadership of its President, Mr. Tony Parakka, NEMA formally recognized TEAM Aid’s sustained commitment to compassionate service during the Christmas celebrations, which featured vibrant cultural and dance performances in a festive setting.
Mr. Mohan Nannapaneni, Founder of TEAM Aid, expressed his gratitude for the recognition, stating that the appreciation from NEMA’s leadership and members reinforces TEAM Aid’s mission and enables the organization to continue expanding its humanitarian efforts globally.
